I found this great freebie for those of you with small children or small grandchildren. Its a cabinet latch starter kit, it takes 6-8 weeks for delivery but very well worth it to help keep the little ones from harm

This Site has great ideas for baby proofing your home. My children are older but I have a grandbaby I need to baby proof reading things on this site I learned a few things.

Just a thought for today

I was watching a contest that was being held by another blogger today and I was seriously having trouble holding my tongue. As I watched I saw people complaining that things werent going fast enough, that people that had been called werent there and how she was running her contest. It really hurt me to see this woman struggling to get things done and to see people fighting and being petty over something they would be getting for free. This is the time of the year we should be thinking about the things we are grateful for, its been said its the time of giving, I had to take a moment and think about all the things I am grateful for this time of the year, the simple things, I have a roof over my head, I have food in my cupboard, I have family and friends that I love dearly, I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive. So please when your entering a contest remember there is a person behind the screen that is working hard to run the contest, they have a family as well many have small children who might want something or the phone might have rang. So please take a moment and thank those who are working hard to give you some fun and perhaps something for free.

Sadness across the world

I don't know the details but I would like everyone to take a moment and hug your child a little tighter today, yesterday TWO terrible incidents happened, one here in the USA and the other in China, most know about the one in the USA but the other went unspoken about twenty two children were stabbed to death outside of an elementary school as well as one elderly woman. We can debate about gun contro

l all day long but if someone is intent on doing bodily harm they will find a way to do so it seems. Its truly saddens me to read about all that is happening in the world. I feel as though I grew up in a different world, I never worried about half the things children worry about these days, so hug your child just a little tighter, make sure they know you love them. I guess I am just ranting a little as a worried and concerned friend, I would truly hate to hear of any of my friends losing their child. I know I would die inside if something happened to one of my babies, yes two are grown but they will always be my babies.

Cheap Meat LOL

Well Folks those of you who live in the Madison WI area there is a place called UW Provisions that has cheap meat and fish its almost at wholesale prices depending whats on sale. I have visited this store a couple times a month and drastically reduced the cost of meat in my household, I have found that the staff is always friendly and ready to help when ever needed, if you dont see what you are looking for they will go in back and get it for you. At one time the called a Butcher from in back and had the cut the meat for me right then and there and I still got it at the cheap price!!! We have gotten shark steaks, pork roasts, boneless ribs and every thing was high quality. It is seriously worth checking out if you are in the area.
